Walaa Jamil Sindi
Animation Director & Academic
Walaa Jamil Sindi is an animation director and academic whose work centers on advancing animation education and practice in Saudi Arabia. A founding member of a specialized Film Production and Animation program, she previously served as Program Director, helping shape its academic direction and support emerging Saudi talent.
Her experience spans animation training, cultural consultancy, professional development, and knowledge exchange, alongside collaborations and training with professionals connected to studios and institutions including Pixar, Blue Sky Studios, and Gobelins Paris. Her work focuses on developing Saudi animation talent and promoting culturally rooted visual storytelling.
At SACC, Walaa will bring an educator’s and director’s perspective to the opening keynote, sharing insights into where animation is heading and how regional talent, training, and industry connections can help shape its future.
