Film Director & Master’s Student
Kawtar Waddi, also known as Sanjaune, is a multidisciplinary artist and film director whose practice spans animation, sound documentary, and visual art. Her work brings these mediums together to examine the complexity of social interaction and the relationship between people and their surroundings.
Alongside her filmmaking and artistic practice, Waddi is currently pursuing a master’s degree in curation in Brussels. Her cross-disciplinary approach connects moving image, sound, and visual language, giving her work a strong perspective on independent creative production.
At SACC, Waddi will share insights into independent animation filmmaking, drawing on her experience working across forms and disciplines to explore how personal artistic practice can shape animated storytelling.
