Doug Sweetland
Director
Doug Sweetland is a director and animator whose work helped shape Pixar’s early features, including Toy Story, Monsters, Inc., Finding Nemo, and The Incredibles. He won back-to-back Annie Awards for animation, and his directorial debut, the Pixar short Presto, earned Annie and Oscar nominations.
His work also spans new storytelling formats, from launching Google’s VR series Spotlight Stories with Windy Day to directing the animated feature Storks alongside Nick Stoller. He currently directs branded content with Psyop and continues to work across independent animation and emerging technology.
At SACC, Doug will share insights from Directing Presto - Story, Performance and Timing and Pixar Life - From Toy Story to Infinity and Beyond!, drawing on his experience in animation performance, comic timing, and directing across film and immersive media.
