Ashish Thapar
CEO — HiTech Animation Studios
Ashish Thapar is the CEO of HiTech Animation Studios, where he has helped build a full-service animation and post-production studio working across 2D and 3D animation, VFX, and end-to-end production. He brings more than two decades of experience in animation, production, and creative leadership.
Over the course of his career, Thapar has collaborated with major global and Indian entertainment companies including The Walt Disney Company, Netflix, Sony Pictures Entertainment, The Jim Henson Company, Dharma Productions, and Yash Raj Films. He has also played a key role in expanding HiTech Animation Studios’ international collaborations while supporting original Indian IP.
At SACC, Thapar will share insights from producing Kurukshetra: The Great War of Mahabharata, exploring how a local story can be developed for a global animation platform like Netflix.
