Akil Wade is the founder of AfricAI and mAIstro, where he works with founders, technologists, creatives, and business owners to explore practical uses of AI. Based in Cape Town, he is known for building spaces and systems that help people apply AI in real-world creative and business contexts.
His work draws on experience across video production, marketing, entrepreneurship, and online education. Through AfricAI, he brings together cross-disciplinary communities to examine how emerging technology can support creative work, collaboration, and innovation.
At SACC, Wade will explore AI + Animation - Enhancing Creativity Without Replacing It, sharing insights into how AI can support animation workflows and creative practice while keeping human imagination and authorship at the center.
